How it plays

Four phases. 10 min.

Alignment is the cleanest way to surface unspoken agreement (and unspoken disagreement) on a team. The host posts a statement; everyone places a slider between strongly-agree and strongly-disagree. All sliders are anonymous. The reveal happens all at once — and the spread tells you everything. Use it before contentious decisions; use it during retros; use it whenever you suspect the team isn’t actually on the same page.

Phase 01

Statement

10s

Host posts a clear, sliderable statement.

Phase 02

Slide

30s

Each player drags anonymously. Position locks at submit.

Phase 03

Reveal

5s

All positions appear at once on a single axis.

Phase 04

Discuss

90s

Outliers self-identify or stay anonymous — their choice.

Why teams use it

It works because it’s structured.

01

Surfaces silent disagreement

You’ll see the split before it sinks the next launch.

02

Anonymous by default

People answer honestly when their name isn’t attached.

03

Fast — 30 seconds per statement

Stack 5 statements in a 10-min round and learn more than a 1-hour debate.

Sample prompts

What you might play with.

01 "We’re shipping the right amount."
02 "Our hiring bar is high enough."
03 "This roadmap is honest about tradeoffs."

Best for.
